Board of Adjustment (Zoning Board)
Powers Granted by Law:
- The Zoning Board of Adjustments, in accordance with state statute, are:
- Hear and decide appeals where errors are alleged in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance by a Borough official;
- Hear and decide requests for interpretation of the zoning map or ordinance;
- Grant a variance to allow a structure or use in a zoning district restricted against such structure or use, but only with the approval of at least two-thirds of the Board;
- Refer a zoning application to the Planning Board for a report.

Appeals:
An appeal from any decision of the Zoning Board of Adjustment approving an application for development, pursuant to state statute, must be filed within 10 days of the date of publication the Board’s decision.
