Nov. 1 to Dec. 12 - The Borough is running its annual holiday gift card drive. During this holiday season, please donate a $10 gift card in lieu of a toy to benefit the less fortunate in Woodland Park and to local non-profit groups. Donations of $10 gift cards to any stores (ex: ShopRite, Aldi, Kohl's, Five Below, Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, or Amazon) are being sought. Gift cards can be dropped off at the holiday tree lighting in Dowling Gardens on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at the gazebo or the holiday movie at AMC Theaters on Saturday, Dec. 3. Gift cards can also be brought to the Woodland Park Municipal Building (second floor, Rooms 202 or 205) or the Alfred Baumann Library during operating hours. For more information, click here

Saturday, Nov. 26, 1:30  to 5 p.m. - The West Paterson Fire Department's holiday parade festival will be held on McBride Avenue from Dowling Gardens to Browertown Road. There will be food vendors, entertainment, holiday shopping, and activities for the kids. For more information, click here.  

Saturday, Nov. 26, 5 p.m. - Holiday Tree Lighting at Dowling Gardens. Rain/snow date: Nov. 27. Enjoy music by the Memorial School band. Take photos with Santa and friends. Bring a $10 gift card for the annual gift card drive. There will be a big red mailbox by the clock in the park to drop them off. Kids can enjoy a free obstacle course, giant snow globe, and a bounce house. There will also be horse and wagon rides through Dowling Parkway from 2 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 26, 6 p.m. - Totowa and West Paterson Fire Department's third annual holiday lights parade. The event kicks off at 515 Union Boulevard in Totowa, comes into Woodland Park over the Hillery Street Bridge, and turns right onto McBride Avenue. The parade will run along McBride Avenue until Memorial Drive. Parade-goers are encouraged to bring a toy for the event's toy drive. Elves will be walking along the route to collect the toys. Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. Annual holiday movie - "Disney's Strange World" at AMC Wayne 14 Theater, next to Willowbrook Mall. Woodland Park residents only. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The snack stand will be open. Cost to attend: a $10 gift card for the annual gift card drive. Seats are limited and all seats must be reserved in advance.
