10/5/2017 - Mayor’s On-line Town Hall Covers a Variety of Topics

Mayor Keith Kazmark held his second "Facebook Live" Town Hall on Oct. 2, from his office in the Municipal Building, with many residents posting their comments and questions during the forum on a variety of topics.

Mayor Kazmark detailed a number of upcoming projects, among them were:
•  The McBride Avenue Streetscape project will be continuing from Hillery Street southward to Newby Avenue beginning in the spring. The Mayor noted that following that, work would shift northward from the Little Falls border, with the goal to get all the way to Memorial Drive.
•  The 2017 Road Resurfacing Program plans were also discussed. This is the final phase of the Borough's 10-year road resurfacing plan. Within the next year, the following resurfacing projects are planned: 1) Rose Place Park, School #1 basketball court; 2) Mt. Pleasant Avenue from Browertown Road to Bartsch Avenue; 3) Mt. Pleasant Avenue from Rose Place to Chestnut Grove Road; 4) Van Winkle Court; 5) Briarwood Court; 6) Rosina Street; 7) Hazel and Caroline Streets; 8) Providence Avenue; and 9) Newby Avenue (joint sealing only).

The Mayor said adequate notice would be given to residents prior to work beginning.
