9/1/2017 - 'Stigma Free Task Force' Plans "Coming Out" Event

The Stigma Free Task Force will host its "Coming Out Fundraiser" on Friday, Sept. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Dowling Gardens at the corner of McBride Avenue and Dowling Parkway.

A free concert in the park will be featuring The Bucket List. For the kids there will be a free bounce house and “touch trucks” including a fire engine, police car and ambulance. Arts & Creations Pottery Studio will also be on hand. There will also be food trucks and vendors including Grizzly Bob’s Vintage Hot Dog Cart and Sip n’ Swirl Ice Cream.

Make it a no-cook Friday: Come have some fun, bring the family and find out what "Stigma Free" is all about.

Founded in the fall of 2016, the task force aims to increase community awareness surrounding mental health. The group offers information, education, assistance and support to those who are living with or suffering from mental illness and diagnosable conditions as well as individuals who are impacted by mental health disease.
