The Mayor and Borough Council adopted an ordinance Wednesday evening to restrict parking on Lookout Lane from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., all-year-round.
The roadway, which is runs between Overmount Avenue and Williams Drive near the Westmount Village apartments, has garnered a number of complaints by residents about the number of vehicles parked overnight and a litter problem.
The parking restriction is for the entire length of the road and on both sides. Violators face a fine of $100 per parking summons, and their vehicle will be towed.
The Council will revisit the issue in October to see if there has been any resultant increase in issues on any adjoining streets.
