Three new police officers were sworn in to the Woodland Park Police Department by Mayor Keith Kazmark during the Council Meeting on July 17: Alessio Esposito, Derrick Morrison, and Anthony Peluso.
Officer Esposito has been a Borough resident since 7th grade and graduated Memorial Middle School, and Passaic Valley High School, in 2009. He was a Special 2 officer for the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, for Union City and for Haledon. He worked corrections for the Passaic County Jail and was a police officer for two-and-a-half years for the Clifton Police Department.
Officer Morrison graduated West Orange High School, and Montclair State University with a degree in accounting, in 2008. He attended the Essex County Police Academy in 2014, and served as a police officer for two years in West Orange and in Lodi for three years.
Officer Peluso, a life-long Borough resident, graduated Passaic Valley High School in 2012, and Caldwell College with a degree in criminal justice. Following training at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, he served as a corrections officer for Passaic County Sheriff’s Department since 2015.
