9/3/2021 - Remnants of Ida caused our worst flash flooding

Woodland Park Residents:

Wednesday night our town experienced the worst flash flood in our history. We woke up yesterday and saw the disarray around us, on our streets and in our homes and businesses. While we feel despair in our hearts right now, this will pass.  And, we will rally together to get each one of us through it.

In the dark aftermath and with the Passaic River yet to crest, know that we still have much to be grateful for. The heroics and bravery of our Firefighters, Police Officers, DPW workers, and our First Aid Squad saved countless lives last night. We owe them a debt of gratitude. The generosity of Holy Cross Church, who took in and took care of those evacuated and extracted was a gift in the midst of the chaos.

And in the days ahead, this Borough will be there to help you and your neighbors clean up, restore and rebuild. This Borough has in the past, and will again get through this disaster.
