The Department of Finance operates under the supervision of the Borough Administrator and consists of the Division of Treasury, the Division of Tax Collection, and the Division of Tax Assessment.

The Division of Treasury is headed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who is appointed by the Governing Body. The CFO is responsible for maintaining the Borough’s financial records, overseeing expenditures, and ensuring fiscal accountability. All Borough checks require the signatures of the Chief Financial Officer and the Mayor. The CFO also oversees the Division of Tax Collection.

The Division of Tax Collection is administered by the Tax Collector and is responsible for the collection of property taxes and Water Company revenues.

The Division of Tax Assessment is administered by the Tax Assessor and is responsible for maintaining accurate property assessments in accordance with state law.
