  As of Jan. 2011 NJDEP Regulations Require Electronics To Be RECYCLED
  No Curbside Pick-ups for TVs, Computers, Monitors, Laptops, Cellphones, etc.
  Residents must bring items to the Woodland Park Recycling Center
and dispose in the appropriate collection area
 
GARBAGE OR RECYCLABLES SHOULD BE PLACED CURBSIDE:
NO “EARLIER” THAN 3:00 PM, the Day Before a Scheduled Pick-up
and NO “LATER” THAN 5:00 AM, the Day Of a Scheduled Pick-up

  LOOSE BRUSH, GRASS AND LEAVES WILL ONLY BE PICKED UP
IN BIODEGRADABLE PAPER BAGS
   
  Brush / Grass Pick Up
  <> Brush and/or grass clippings must be placed curbside the night before scheduled pick up in BIODEGRADABLE BAGS.
<>
Brush may also be tied in bundles not to exceed 4 feet in length or 3 feet in width with a total weight of no more than 50 lbs.
<> Tree branches with a diameter of 4 inches or larger are excluded.
<> Grass/brush will NOT be picked up in plastic bags as per N.J.D.E.P. regulations.
  Pick Up Schedule:
• Grass/brush will be collected curbside each week from the 1st Mon. of APR. until the last Mon. of OCT. (except when Holiday solid waste schedule is in effect).
When BRUSH service is NOT provided, from the NOV. 1 to the 1st Mon. of APR., you may bring material to the Recycling Center and dispose of it in appropriately marked dumpsters.
NO pick-up on Monday, MAY 27 and Monday, SEPT. 2.
• Bags placed curbside Sunday evening will be picked up Monday.
   
  Leaf Pick Up
  <> Residents are required to place leaves at curbside in BIODEGRADABLE BAGS.
<> Leaves will NOT be picked up in plastic bags as per N.J.D.E.P. Regulations.
<>
Leaves in Biodegradable Bags dropped off at the Recycling Center must be placed in the “Leaf Dumpster”. (DO NOT leave full biodegradable bags on the ground.)
  Pick Up Schedule:
• Leaves will be collected curbside Mondays from the OCTOBER 8 until DECEMBER 10.
• Bags placed curbside Sunday everning will be picked up Monday.
   
 
ATTENTION LANDSCAPERS AND CONTRACTORS
 

Woodland Park Ordinance #07-13 requires landscaping contractors and other types of contractors who desire to use the Municipal Recycling Center for disposal of grass, brush or leaves to pay an annual Licensing Fee for each truck: the fee for first truck is $25; the fee for each additional truck is $5. In addition, a Disposal Fee of $20 per cubic yard must be paid prior to dumping yard waste at the borough’s recycling facility.

  A sticker licensing a truck to use the borough’s recycling facility can be obtained upon payment of the necessary fee at the Administration Office located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building at 5 Brophy Lane.
  Coupons for each cubic yard of waste to be dumped can be obtained upon payment of the necessary fee at the Administration Office located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building at 5 Brophy Lane.

  Requirements for Various Pick Ups and Drop Offs
  COMMINGLED — Curbside Pick-Up  [Can also be brought to Recycling Center]
   Includes glass containers, aluminum cans, tin/steel cans, and #1 & #2 plastic containers.
   For curbside pick-up, place in a marked 35-gallon container. Decals are available at the Recycling or DPW Office.
   Do not place commingled material in plastic bags.

NEWSPAPER

   Boxes must be BROKEN DOWN, tied in bulk and left at curbside or brought to the Recycling Center.
   Newspapers must be bundled or put in brown paper bags.
APPLIANCES / SCRAP METAL — Curbside Pick Up  [Can also be brought to Recycling Center]
   Call DPW Office 973-256-1264 to request pick up of White Metal and/or Scrap Metal (ferrous & nonferrous).    Or, bring item to Recycling Center.
   No “Recycle” sticker required.
   Pick Up Schedule: Fridays ONLY.
REFRIGERATORS / AIR CONDITIONERS — Curbside Pick Up only
   Obtain “Recycle” sticker for $5.00 from DPW Office or Municipal Clerk’s Office. Place sticker on unit. Call    DPW Office, 973-256-1264, to request pick up. Or, bring item to Recycling Center.
   Pick Up Schedule: Fridays ONLY.
TIRES / AUTO BATTERIES — Bring to Recycling Center
   Proof of residency required to drop off tires – free of rims – and auto batteries at the Recycling Center.
   Tire (rim-free) recycling fee: $2.50 each.
   Battery recycling fee: No fee.

MOTOR OIL — Bring to Recycling Center
   Proof of residency required to drop off motor oil – uncontaminated with other fluids.
   Drop-off limit: One gallon.
   Oil recycling fee: No fee.
VINES / BRUSH / HEDGES — Curbside Pick Up
   Accepted at the Recycling Center after curbside pick up ends last Monday of OCT.
   Tree stumps, logs, pallets and railroad ties are never accepted at the recycling center or picked up with
   solid waste at curbside..

CHRISTMAS TREES — Curbside Pick Up only
   Put Christmas trees out at curbside through 3nd week of JAN. for DPW pick up.
   No plastic bags. Remove all wire.
GARBAGE / SOLID WASTE — Curbside Pick Up only
   Not accepted at the Recycling Center.

CONCRETE / CINDER BLOCKS / BRICKS / LOGS / TREE STUMPS / RAILROAD TIES
PROPANE TANKS / CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION DEBRIS

  Garbage (or Solid Waste) Pick Up
  Woodland Park Solid Waste Ordinance
  It shall be the duty of the owner, lessee, tenant, or occupant of any commercial establishment or residence to place trash, recycling, lawn clippings and other debris in proper receptacles or containers at the curb for collection no earlier than 3:00 pm the night before collection. Receptacles and containers are to be removed by 9:00 pm on day of collection.
  Curbside SOLID-WASTE collection days: Tuesdays and Fridays of each week:
   2013 Holidays excluded: Tues., Jan. 1
  Curbside RECYCLING collection days: Mondays and Thursdays of each week
   2013 Holidays excluded:

  Please have garbage at curb NO LATER than
